My husband has been trying to get me to try this place for 5 years. Me being a creature of habit protested but finally gave it. I had the fish and chips. The fish was cooked very well, my only compliant was it was a little greasy. My husband made fun of me for ordering a coors light, but sorry I don't like dark beer. He enjoyed the British beer in tap though. Over all service Was a little slow but the good was good. Would come again. They have a take out window as well.

Best fish & chips anywhere! Always a staple of a long weekend in Rehoboth Beach!

Fast friendly service. Great fish and chips! Large portions and the dinner price (sit down) was $16.95 but the take out was $9.99. Cheddar mashed potatoes only okay- a little dry but still good. Chips looked really good but did not taste. Had our 3yr old with us and it was still early but they were very accommodating and friendly. Would def go back esp to try some of the apps that sounded so yummy!

MMMMmmmm MMMMMMmmm, Fish and Chips. Not to say that fish and chips are the only good thing here. The inside seating area is surprisingly quite nice. Food is good, and there are some great seafood options. Service is decent, prices can be a little high, but it's right off of the boardwalk, so what can you expect? Campy, and a nice shift from the typical Rehoboth food.

Really good fish and chips, liked it a lot. They offered both tartar sauce and malt vinegar as your condiments. Nice. Also Newcastle brown ale on tap, but they have Boddingtons pub ale also bottled. Fish was fried nicely , not too greasy, batter was thin and crispy, fish was light and flaky, not heavy at all. Chips (fries ) were good too. Had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert, was very delicious. Only complaint was the heat, it was pretty warm in the place as observed in other reviews. It was about 75 outside when we ate but it was a lot warmer in the restaurant. Will definitely go back on my next trip to Rehoboth.

Was really looking forward to this place. The calamari we ordered was rubbery...hardly any flavor, unless you dunked it in the sauce. We ordered the fish and chips. Nothing exciting...in fact the appearance was much better then the product. As we were sitting there a cook walked through with a jar of Patack's curry sauce. I buy that at the supermarket. We had already ordered the over $3 side of curry sauce because it was recommended and highly raved about on here. It was nothing special. A rip off. We also got the pickled onions. They were barely pickled. Hard as rocks and whole. The whole part was ok...but the pickling mix did not penetrate. Overall...overpriced and underwhelming. Wish we had ate at one of the other fun places on the street. We won't be back.

Very disappointed. I have been waiting all year to visit and get fish and curry. I paid an extra $3.50 for curry! I poured it on my fish and gagged at my first bite! This is NOT curry. It is a sweet and sour sauce with a dusting of curry powder (at least I assume there was curry powder in it). When I last visited the shop about 3 years ago the curry WAS curry. I actually asked if the they gave me the wrong sauce. I was told it was 'Pineapple Curry'. Well why isn't that listed that way on the menu? It is stifling hot in there. No air-conditioning and it is 90 degrees outside. There is no airflow. The menu has changed drastically from when I was last there and has been so Americanized that to call it a British shop is mis-leading. The best part was the NewCastle on tap and the Chicken Tandori. Sorry to see the changes. I won't go back again.

Really wanted to eat here but it was unbearably hot. No air conditioning! We just couldn't stay, as much as we wanted to try the food, looked so good :/

July 6th: Got rather a large order to go. Fish was a bit greasier than expected. Had their take out before and was always very good perhaps just an off day. The shrimp was excellent perfectly cooked and crispy. The calamari was a bit underdone the chips weren't crisp at all but again perhaps just an off day...everyone has them now and again

Eat here, even if it's only for lunch, and make room for the sticky toffee pudding!

Great place! Hit it up on a rainy day and the food was perfect comfort food! The fish and chips are crisp. The wait staff is pretty good. But if you like shepherd's pie, try the Fisherman's pie!!! Great prices too!

Great find this side of the pond! I have to admit I've become a bit of a fish 'n chips snob since several visits to the UK and always have to try them out whenever I see them on a menu, completely expecting to be disappointed. Go fish! is one of the very few places stateside that didn't disappoint. The fish was an ample portion and perfectly fried, with a crispy coating having the perfect amount of crunch and no grease. The chips were respectable and tasty, especially with lots of malt vinegar! I rounded out my meal with mushy peas and sticky toffee pudding for a total "UK" experience. Those didn't disappoint either. I will definitely be back to sample more of the menu!

Don't listen to the hype! My wife and daughter got the fish and chips and fish and salad; and it was okay. I however made the mistake of ordering the Lamb Vindaloo. I first asked the waitress how the Indian food was and she replied that she thought the Lamb Vindaloo was Italian. Should have been a sign- the dish was inedible big chunks of fat and grizzle. They offered to get me something else but I declined. Really hope I don't get sick from the little bit I ate. By the way the waitress also tried to take my wife's dish before she was finished..all in all just a weird experience. It must have been pretty bad if I opened a Yelp account just to post this review.

The girl at the front door was hard of hearing and British. But the waitress was from the USA and got everything worked out . The coconut shrimp was to die for and the fish and chips well that is what they are all about light and crispy but only one piece of fish and enough fries for two. Over all great place for fish

Although I don't eat fish often, I think Go Fish! is pretty darn great. Although the main draw here is fish & chips, personally I think the beer battered pork sausages are the real winner. Yes, deep fried sausages. There are healthier things to eat (salads, veggie burgers, grilled fish, etc.). Unfortunately I haven't sampled any of them. Alas, they do not offered deep fried candy bars (see Eamon's and Tea & Sympathy). Although I believe Newcastle is the only beer on tap, the bottle selection is nice and interesting, including Boddington's and Theakston's.

Yesterday we had a walking tour of Rehoboth Ave and decided to nip in for some fish as the group of four men were feeling ever so peckish...Certainly some positives: 1. Amazing fish & chips - very flavorful and freshly done. Chips were some of the best I have had in the States. I can see why they won best of 2010 for them. You could turn around and slap somebody the fish is that flaky and perfectly cooked. 2. Service was efficient, though a bit harried. I liked Liz, she was perky but not at all intrusive. 3. The entire facility is green - they run off solar power from upstairs and have made a clear effort to be eco-friendly. 4. Three of us had the fish & chips and dear Christopher (bless him for his restraint and incredible body building 4% bodyfat, head turning physique) had the grilled chicken sandwich, which according to him was quite good. 5. Reasonably priced. A a few criticisms: 1. Very tight quarters. We are all pretty big body builder types and fitting four in booth was snug. Thank god we are all gay and deeply fond of each other. :) 2. The sticky toffee pudding was a huge let down. Supposedly one of their signatures, it had clearly been prepared in large quantity, cut down into a small dressing cup and ladled with just the most meager spray of sauce and a very quaint starret of whipping cream. Sad. The flavor was dry and not at all the richness that I have come to love. 3. There was a sense of great rush and fatigue on the part of the staff. Even the owner seemed over it. They put on a good show, but it was clear that the weekend had done them in. Perhaps there were behind the scene stresses or they were feeling a bit overdone since it was the wrap up of Memorial Day weekend, but I just didn't get the joy. 4. Could your kitchen staff look a bit less slovenly? I know working a fryer is tough and it was darn hot, but get them in something a bit more upscale. I know it is the beach, but it kind of makes you wonder what is going on in the back. Think Robin Williams walking into the kitchen at the beginning of the Birdcage with the chicken breast being picked up from the floor...I am SURE this did not happen here and plate presentation was adequate, but it is a criticism which I think is fair. Maybe it was an off day in the back of the house. Still worth the trip, the mains are definitely worth it, and I would much prefer to visit them in the off season. Major pluses for the green initiatives. Hope you get a lot of tax breaks too!

Service is with British precision. No, not really. This is a beach resort town and expect a very casual place where you are welcome in a bikini and flip flops. The fish is excellent. Price wise its $10.95 for a single piece of fish and chips with cole saw. The fish is about 12 inches long and 3 to 4 inches wide. Plenty of food. Fresh and hot every time out of the fryer, the fish is moist and very tasty. Chips are excellent. There is no need to go to Thasher's for chips when these complement the fish so well. Cole Saw is good - needed more kick so dashed it with vinegar. Overall, another great fish & chips place. Don't forget to order with a mock British accent. ;)

I had the pleasure of visiting twice this summer, and it will definitely feature in all my future trips. I think it is a little expensive, but I guess you gotta take advantage of the tourists while they're there. In any case, it is totally worth it, and I love the food, the ambience, and especailly the organic cider! I'm not a big fan of fried fish, but my father is and he LOVED their fish and chips. They even have authentic malt vinegar at every table. I got an organic greens salad with a crabcake on top--probably the best crapcake ever. There was NO filler. All crab, all the time. Amazinggg. I've also had their linguine in lobster sauce with grilled shrimp and broccoli.. 18$ plate, but so delicious. I didn't love their calamari, but I am incredibly picky about my fried squid. It was certainly edible. They have a signature desert that's been written up in all the local papers--sticky toffee pudding. YUM. It is sort of like gingerbread with toffee sauce. Their AC was broken when I was in last and it was so hot both outside and in the restaurant, and they comped our deserts by way of apology! The service was great too--perfect balance of being attentive and letting us eat in peace. If you fancy some fish and chips on the beach, you can walk up to their take out window and order it to go!

Went in on a Sunday afternoon after a day at the beach and it was fantastic. Got the fish and chips, with the clam strips for an appetizer. The strips were a little small but they were very, very good. The fish and chips was the best I've ever had. A really great place with British themed flare and nice people.

My fiance and I grabbed a quick lunch from Go Fish on our last day in Rehoboth Beach. It was something we had been looking forward to the whole trip and had heard good things, plus I was REALLY craving some fish and chips. We decided to split the fish and chips and an order of the fried clams off the appetizer menu. We got them to go because the only parking spot we could find was 30 minute metered parking about 3 blocks away. It was also REALLY hot that day and we couldn't think of a better place to eat than in our air conditioned car. The fried fish with the fish and chips was the best I've ever had, in my opinion. My fiance said he's had better but still liked it a lot. We didn't finish the fries--by the time we got around to eating them they were no longer crisp and we didn't have enough vinegar and salt to pour over them to give them more flavor. The fried clams were good but quite a small portion for eight and a half bucks. The dipping sauce that came with them was a bit bland as well. I would order them again if they were cheaper and ask for a different dipping sauce. I would like to try this place again but dine-in rather than carry out. I think that would make a world of difference.

Fish n' Chips by the Delaware water! I really actually enjoy this tiny spot off the boardwalk. I come to Rehoboth Beach every year to visit my family's vacation house and this is always one of my favorite lunch time spots. The fish is fast, fresh & hot! I have to be honest i've really never tried anything else but the Fish n' Chips here so I can't judge on any other dishes but the fries were very thick and fresh. The whole dish tasted great to me. I see other people gave it not so hi reviews, it all depends on your experience. When i go the staff is always super friendly and compared to NYC prices.. this place was not bad at all! (Fried Fish at Famous Jakes in Rehoboth is AWFUL.. I had rather gone to Ruby Tuesday, lol) This place is better than Jakes in my opinion! I have to be honest ;o)

I recently visited Rehoboth Beach with some fellow Anglophile friends, so of course we immediately noticed Go Fish because of its bright and colorful British decor outside. We made a point to walk there for lunch on our last day in town. Service was friendly and fast, and the inside decor was cute. We got the chicken wing appetizer platter and really enjoyed it. Four people in our party got the fish and chips, and one other person and I got the beer-battered chicken and chips, and everyone was really happy with their meal. My husband, who loved the "mushy peas" side dish during our trip to London last year, asked to substitute the mushy peas for the cole slaw with his fish and chips, and he was extremely happy with the taste. Our friends regularly get fish and chips at other restaurants, and they were really happy with the meals at Go Fish. And it's a good thing we got there at 11:30 a.m. when they opened, because the small restaurant was filled to capacity when we left. I'm sure we'll eat here again if we come back to Rehoboth Beach.

The fish and chips are very good and quite a large portion. The 4 stars are for the sticky toffee pudding! Delicious!! I only wish they came in larger portions!

I did enjoy this place, right off the boardwalk with a huge British flag painted on the front of the building, they seem to do pretty good business. First off they have a small but quality beer selection for the British Isles, which automatically gets an extra star or two from me. I did not have the fish and chips (which assume is their specialty) but i did strongly enjoy the fisherman's pie (think shepard's pie with seafood), it was quite good and recommended by the cute British waitress with the cute British accent. (side note--i love good looking women with British accents). So long story short, this place is at least worth a visit next time you are in Rehobeth and looking for something different.

My boyfriend and I stopped here while we were in Rehoboth Beach. It's kinda like an English pub and I don't think I'd ever go here if I were walking past it. But luckily my phone has an Urbanspoon app and it told us to go. It's relatively cheap and I was just thankful that it was open during the off-season. You could tell it's a place locals go when it's not overrun by tourists. We had the mussels, crab balls, and calamari. We thought everything was great. The bread served with the mussels was tasty. The calamari had a nice chili flavor to them and the dipping sauce was smokey and tasted great on the crab balls too. My boyfriend thought the calamari was a little chewy but I like it like that. There's no complaints about the service. The only thing that bothered me was that all the other diners were old people and it was as if the record stopped when we walked in and they stared at us the whole time. Who knows what that was about... Anyways it wouldn't stop me from going back.

Deep Fried Cheesecake, deep fried bangers, deep fried fish.. you get my drift but dang...this place rocks. It's cozy and is going for a pubby British feel which it doesn't do to bad with. The toffee pudding is stupid good. This is always a stop when we go to Rehoboth. Go off season and you will have no problem getting in. On season is a different story. Price points are easy on your budget for a beach place. Walk an extra oh 8 miles so you don't feel guilty eating that cheesecake, but get it. It comes with a raspberry coulis and whipped cream. Deep fried happiness.

I couldn't believe our party of 8 was able to walk in on a Friday night and be seated right away. They gave us two 4 tops and we sat separately, but still had a great time. Everyone at my table opted for the fish & chips with me being the slight exception by getting the fish and caesar salad. The fish was outstanding!! Perfectly cooked, crispy but flakey. it was really some of the best I've had. The salad was decent, but more of the green ends of the lettuce than the hearts. The cole slaw was pretty good. The chips were tasty, but I wanted to keep away from too much fry and was really glad I opted for my dish.

Stopped here for lunch with my two sons. The older of the two has become an anglophile, so he was pressing me to take him for fish and chips. I am glad we stopped. The fish and chips were excellent. I ordered the kids quesadilla meal for my toddler. I assumed that he would like it. I was surprised to learn that he preferred my fish. He ate as much fish as I did. We will be back the next time we are in town. Cheers

Incredible! I had a crabcake sandwhich, my friends had steamed shrimp and fish and chips. We were all bowled over by the food and suggested that several of our friends stop by the next day. Highly recommend!

Simply, one of the best fish and chips experiences you will have in this country or over in the UK. The food is amazing and the staff and ambiance is perfect. Go --- you won't be disappointed. :)

If you have read any of my yelps you will see, its ME dragging my husband to places. NOT this time, we were in Rehoboth DE, getting away from the crowds, labor day weekend (yeah right) Hubby was driving looking for a parking place ( fat chance) when he saw the Union Jack sign, "go look" and he double parked. I jumped out and looked at the menu, then jumped back in the car. I did NOT want to have fish and chips and be disappointed yet again. Actually I had been looking forward to fine dining and crab cakes. He found a parking spot a road away. "Come on" he said trying to be enthusiastic. we walked in to a small busy cafe type place (not a fine dining establishment) with heavy heart seeing the crab cakes disappear, we sat down. I ordered the fish and chip dinner so did HE opposite me. My crab cakes were waving at me in the distance. The dinners arrived. WOWEEEEEE I closed my eyes and I was back in my home country England. The fish was aaawwwesome and the chips were definitely English and yes of course I ordered mushy peas. My husband (who was back in favor) had declined to order these. So for all you non belivers if you want authentic British fish and chips from an authentic Brit. make sure you eat here.. I will be back!!! who wants crab cakes anyway.

Great fish and chips! The fish tacos were amazing as well. Perfectly cooked, and the crunch of the cabbage made the dish. Very good service and the price was decent. Great spot for lunch.

Love good Fish and chips and love the mushy peas! This is one of our fave restaurants to eat in the "off-season" because they offer a great menu at reduced prices. Still, I'll make the trek into crowded downtown Rehoboth for their spectacular fish and chips even in the dead of summer!

We have been visiting the Delaware shores for nearly 20 years. We became residents as of 2001, and have enjoyed many fine restaurants in our visits. When Go Fish opened it was a take out counter, similar to the many ice cream and boardwalk fry places around town. It quickly became a hit as it was a different flavor than the usual burgers, pizza and hot dog one usually gets at the beach. Since then other places offer fish and chips but none meet the high standards of quality and flavor that Alison (the owner) puts into her signature dishes. When you bite into the fish or savor the chips with malt vinegar one imagines walking around London after visiting the pub for a pint and and an order. Go Fish now is a sit down and take out restuarant with many of the English fare one expects at a pub, but on the Eastern shore of Delaware. It is highly recommended, and well worth the trip.

fantastic fish and ...well, the chips weren't so fantastic. Fish was nicely battered and a generous, without being ridiculous, size. Chips/Fries were lame as they were thick, not very hot and anything but crispy. Shandy was delicious, slaw was pretty good and the sausage is a must to add to any dish. Would probably try it again but would make sure to ask for my fries cripsy. Cool kitchy little place that needs to get the front door fixed - it was windy the day we went and the poor hostess had to keep closing the door and even had to stand there and hold it closed for a while. Then..she got cut and went home which left the door at the mercy of the wind gods and us patrons asking for the check or a windbreaker. The owners seemed all caught up working on a computer in a closet or something and never once bothered to say hi to a single guest, let alone seem to care if anyonewas enjoying their repast. Missed the boat and actually, now that I recall this oversight, my rating just changed from a 4 to a 3 star review. Little things to work on guys and you could have a winning spot in a great location - please don't let it slip away - the food IS GOOD.

My husband and I love this place! For many years we were reluctant to try the food here, but this year we finally decided to try it and are in love! We definitely have plans to return here in the future. The fish and chips are great!! We haven't eaten in the store before, we always get our food to go and walk a block back to our condo to eat in the peace and quiet of our room.

Right off the boardwalk, we couldn't resist this cutely decorated joint. Though the fish and chips were good, our waiter (the owner, we guessed) was unprofessional and disorganized. We were over-charged for one of our meals, and when we pointed this out to him, he became obstinate and was unwilling to correct the bill. Needless to say, we won't be going back.

Three of us went in September and we all cleaned our plates. Fish & chips, trout with some kind of potato crust, and shepherd's pie. ALL GOOD! The menu looked very British to me, but I'd have to defer to an authentic Brit to confirm that. We will definitely go back.

  • Robert K.

I guess we should have tried the fish and chips. We tried a couple of salmon meals that were truly terrible (tasted like they took the fish out of deep freeze and didn't cook them fully)--yeech. Service was also rather poor.

  • Kokoenutt C.

Four stars for the food! I got the fish and Caesar to go (same price as a fish and chips), with a side of tandoori mushy peas. The fish was quite sizeable and flaky, however didn't taste fresh to me (pre-frozen?). The batter thick and very crispy, not your typical fried fish; although a bit more oily than I would have liked, it was tasty and hey...what do you expect with fried! The salad was nothing special, with just parmesan and no Caesar dressing. The service was quick (I got my food in about 5 minutes). But the host touched the eating side of all of my plasticware before handing them to me. Maybe this was an off day. Worth stopping by!

Best beer battered fish I've ever had. The batter is crispy, but has a nice chew too. The Alaskan pollack is generous and flaky. The fries are good. Not as good as Thrasher's next door, but pretty good. It's a little on the greasy side, but that's to be expected. The battered chicken was unexpectedly awesome too. Same batter, and the chicken came out juicy. Great place to get good food on the boardwalk.

Middle of the road is my rating. It is OK for a quick bite to satisfy your craving for fried fish. Went there to pick up a late lunch one day because I've always wanted to try what everyone raves about....the fish 'n chips. Service was prompt and friendly... Resraurant was empty even though it was a rainy Saturday during the Summer. The food came out quick and was excited to dig in so I actually stayed to eat. First off, the fish was absolutely perfect!! Large filet, batter dipped, and fried to a perfect golden brown and crisp. Very little residual grease as well. Honestly, I doubt a British Chef's mother could have made it any better. The 'chips' though, were the real disappointment however. They were the correct size for traditional English chips, but that's where tradition stops. I know true 'chips' should be crispy. They weren't...they were soft, limp, and tasteless. What a shame!! How could a cook treat a piece of fish so well (which is quite a bit more difficult) and flop so badly on a simple chip (french fry)? *heavy sigh* Ah well... I'm sure I'll try it again if for nothing else than the fish. I am very curious about their other offerings as well... Especially the sticky toffee pudding. I'll update on my next visit....hopefully the chips will do Great Britain a bit more justice that time.

Seemed like the perfect place for fish and chips, well sort of. Fish was good, not the best we ever had (Federal Jacks, Kennebunk Maine!) the "chips" on the other had were absolutely the worst we ever had. They seemed like they were prepared well in advance waiting for the evening rush, or they used the twice fried method but forgot to do the second fry. We didn't send back because we were on a time line. Besides, if you can't get fries right the first time, why bother. We started with a Caesar salad. Nice crisp cold romaine, boxed croutons, nicely dressed and "sprinkled" with parm, not very impressive for $7. Service was good. I'm sure there are better places for fish and chips in Rehoboth.

Stopped in for lunch when visiting rehoboth beach. Nice and convenient location very close to the boardwalk and accessible from the main road leading in to the beach/boardwalk. Of course, I came in looking for some awesome fish and chips! The fish part was very good - large piece of moist, flaky fish, dressed in (greasy but) flavorful batter. The chips were...ehh. I have had much better fries in other places. Though I did manage to spice em up by adding some vinegar and extra salt - then they were yummier but kinda soggy. I think the chips were missing crispness. The dipping sauce was yummy though kind of rich and the cole slaw was also quite good. Decor was also cute - loved the british theme and beer glasses. Not dying to come back but happy to come if I get fish and chip craving and am in the area.

This is the place that turned me from "ho-hum" about the stuff into a regular fish & chips nut complete with Cockney accent. Beautiful, huge flakey filets of Alaskan Pollock coated in a crispy golden brown beer batter with a side of chips and mushy peas has officially joined my repertoire of beach treats. Granted, most of my fish & chip experience comes from Arthur Treacher's (where I worked for a while as a teenager) but Go Fish is far beyond any I've had or made at home. I love the decor from the faux callbox front door all the way down to the "Underground" graphics and branded napkin rings. If I had to complain about something, and I always do, I find it a bit too snug in there- specially if there's a lunch crowd and we're not lucky enough to get a booth. Unfortunately, loud kids are an all too common occurrence in the relatively small space. We always try to avoid mid day.

We went already three times to this location: Pros: Well-priced generous portion of fantastic fish & chips! The fish is extremely fresh and fried to perfection. Paired with the malt vinegar and the slice of lemon on top: yummy! For a healthier option, you can substitute their delicious French fries for a salad at no charge. Their cole slaw is not greasy and flavorful. The service is prompt and nice. The restaurant is kid-friendly. The location is great near the boardwalk. Cons: As a starter, the fried clams were average. You could barely taste the seafood. The flavor was mostly the batter.

As a former England study abroad student I can tell you that these fish & chips are completely authentic! Delicious, crispy, and as one of my friends described it "like butter." The place is cute, has British decor. The staff is polite but a bit slow. The prices are decent especially considering the portion sizes! Would definitely return.

Great and authentic! Only had a piece if fish though. Tartar sauce was Very think w/ mayo - I prefer a more developed flavor for mine. All in all, can't wait to visit again!

Overall a good experience. Arrived around 4pm was seated directly. The place never filled up while we were there. It's a very small place, maybe 10 to 15 tables for four. A few Brit style beers on tap. They definitely could have done better in the drinks. Very limited selection, no bar. Fish and chips were crispy as ordered. Good. Nothing special about either. Crab cakes (2) were meaty. Probably not enough for a big guy but a good meal. Crab soup was excellent. About 22 dollars per person with drinks.

This is one of those places we hit at least once every time we're in Rehoboth. Of course we get the fish and chips every time, and the "Go Fish Cocktail" is a great citrusy drink after a long day on the beach. This is a great place for kids. We had our two toddlers who were sometimes a little rambunctious, and the staff was always smiling and courteous.

I come here every time I'm in the Rehoboth area. It's really become a family tradition for either lunch or dinner. Of course we always order the fish & chips. Never a complaint about the service or the food, service always comes with a smile.

Go Fish is a British restaurant located right off the beach on the main strip in Rehoboth. It is decorated dubiously like a London tube station, but is run by an actual Brit. There is a menu of sandwiches, burgers and standard pub grub, but they are famous for their Fish & Chip so that is what we ordered. They offer a Caesar salad as a substitute, but we stuck with chips (ordinary, not very crispy French Fries.) The fish is one large filet, fried a perfect golden brown, and my wife found it very good. I actually ordered the Chicken & Chips, which were good, the frying left the chicken very tender and moist. There were many drinks offered on the menu, but we stuck with soda. This is a perfectly fine place to go, whether it fits in with a tourist town or not.

Best fish and chips. Love their Tatar and chipotle mayo. The service is awesome. The owner's brother mans this shop during the day most of the times I've been there. He is a real joy to talk to. Love visiting go fish when I'm in town. On and off season!

Typical fish and chips, but very good. I recommend it if you like fried foods. Some of the best fish and chips I've had in a while.

I don't mind telling you that the price is a tad off-putting- but the quality is great! I had the Fish and Caesar( not chips). The fish? Terrific. Crispy batter, doesn't feel overly greasy. This British themed 12 foot wide restaurant also features an American favorite- Buffalo wings! We tried them- almost perfect taste, but slightly too hot for two of the three of us. Cheers !!!

Wow THE best fish and chips ever!! The beer battered sausage was awesome too. We were all so full but had to try the sticky toffee pudding and as full as I was o could have eaten the whole thing myself it was delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely be making this a mandatory stop whenever we come back.

Awesome place. Atmosphere food and they were extremely accommodating for our twin boys! British pint is the best!

If you're in the mood for some good British fish and chips, this is your place. Located near the foot of Rehoboth Avenue, near the boardwalk; they also have battered and deep fried English banger sausages.

We've eaten there 3 times in our week here and may be going back a fourth time!! It's been wonderful every time and we've tried a number of dishes: fish and chips, fish and Cesar, soft shell crab, steamed shrimp, magi sandwich, and coconut shrimp. The only thing that wasn't amazing was the mushy peas (they just needed a bit of salt), but everything else was fabulous!!! For quick, to-go or sit-down food, there aren't many good seafood options. Go Fish is a 'must try' at Rehoboth. I should add that I don't eat fish and chips anywhere but here (usually not crispy enough and kind of greasy...even when I've eaten it IN England!!!).

Based on their name I had to go with the Fish and Chips which was $11.95 exactly (yay no sales tax in Delaware!). A little on the pricier side for what I would've wanted to pay for what I got. The portion came with one large piece of fish that spanned the length of their to-go styrofoam (boo bad for the environment) box. On the batter to fish ratio, the portion definitely leaned towards batter that didn't seem to stick too well to the fish. However, on the bright side, the fish was seasoned very well and of good quality. It also sat on a bed of fresh cut fries which were delicious to say nonetheless.

Best fish and chips this side of the pond, my fav is the fish and chips with battered sausage and a side of mushy peas..... Wash it down with a Newcastle brown ale??? Sure why not!!! Lovely stuff

The staff was super-friendly from the second we walked in the door. They were patient and helpful as we decided what to order. Despite all of the other tasty options on the menu, everyone around me was eating fish and chips. My curiosity got the best of me and, naturally, I ordered the same thing. My friend ordered calamari to start. A little too greasy for my taste, but she loved it. Also, waaaay more tentacles than rings (not only do they look weird, but they are so much harder to chew than the rings!).The fish was light and flaky. Pretty decent portions too. The coating kept falling off of mine, so instead of crispy fried goodness, I got to taste more of the flavorful fish that lie beneath. Fine by me. The fries, excuse me, "chips" were nothing remarkable. They were a good compliment to the dish, but not outstanding. Polished off the meal with the sticky toffee pudding which was neither sticky, nor tasted like it contained anything remotely like toffee. It tasted like some kind of spongy bread packed and soaked in butter and sugar, then covered in whipped cream. I've never had the "real" thing, so I really don't have anything to compare it to, but I have to say I'd pass on that next time. The meal was decent...quick, hot, tasty and cheap. The beer was cold. The service was friendly and laid back, while still attentive. What's not to like (except maybe the pudding)?

In my recent travels, I have endured far too many crappy fish & chips. Today I was rewarded with my patience. Something as simple as a fish sandwich with chips made my day. Great batter, and better yet, great fish. 5 stars for great food and delivering an all-day smile on the side!

Great little place! Cute decorations inside and very good food. My preschooler/picky eater almost finished every bite of his kids meal fish and chips and my 16 month old loves the warm crab dip appetizer! They are open during the off season which I appreciate. We needed a warm meal and a break from playing in the sunshine and cold wind out on the beach and boardwalk. This was perfect. The adults had fried oysters and fish and chips - all were delicious. I'm glad we shared the appetizers because portions are large. Save room for the warm toffee pudding!

The traditional fish and chips were good, as well as the chicken and chips and the tandoori chicken wrap, however coleslaw was rather bland and tasteless. The service was rather poor, and when trying to catch the waitress, it usually required waving and calling - multiple times, and it's not a big restaurant. A different waiter actually took care of us a couple times; he was very nice.

    (3)
  • Dee M.

The food was just okay. I would have given it 3 stars but we went there because we looked on Yelp and there was a coupon so decided to go in...the waiter told us the coupon deal was over. I think since the coupon was still on Yelp the day we went in, they should have honored it anyway...

I stopped in for dinner with my wife, son and Mom with our friend Karen. The seated us right away and we got drinks right off. The food was delicious and service attentive and friendly and the price was reasonable with a nice selection of English fare and we took some Sticky Toffee pudding to go. I would recommed the fish and chips and shrimp sampler app since it had 3 types of shrimp one was coconut. I like the atmospher and the fish was cooked perfectly

Love this place, it's small and a bit hot during peak hours but the food is amazing! We eat here every time we visit the beach, it's become a tradition.

Food is alright, middle of the road. The bartender used scotch to make my whiskey sour, which to say the least was gross. They tried to compensate by dousing it in sour mix, which made it worse.

An amazing find at the Beach! The fish and chips are Spectacular! Fresh, light and tasty, such a nice change from greasy beach fare. Do not, I repeat DO NOT, miss the beer battered shrimp. It's totally the best I've had and I've eaten shrimp from the Florida coast to Cape Cod. They're big, juicy, flavor fresh and just delicious. Don't miss them. Top off your meal with the sticky toffee pudding and you'll feel like royalty. Really.

Great fish! Even my very picky youngest loved her kiddie fish. The fish was flaky, tender and moist and the batter had a great taste. The fries/chips were a little soggy for my taste but luckily we got one order with the Cesar salad, which had a delightful light and flavorful dressing. Happy to say it was nothing like the usual chain seafood restaurant heavy fake creamy Cesar. We saved room to share the warm sticky toffee pudding. Heavenly! I recommend the fish with salad and sticky toffee pudding.

I do not recommend this place. The food was too greasy. There was no one in there and it still took them a little bit before they even brought over water. I ordered the fish and chips and I have definitely had better, I could probably make better. Don't go to this place. I think the owner was sitting in there and not once did he come over to check to see how our meal was going. That just seems like common courtesy. Out of all the places in that small area, we chose you. At least come over to say hi. The dessert was pretty good. I had the brownies and my hubby had their signature dessert. I would never go back!

They have certainly set the standard for Fish and Chips in Delaware. Authentic and very good. The batter was light and crispy and not greasy. The French Fries were also very good. We go there a few times a year (every time visiting Rehoboth Beach) If you are looking for decor, this is not the place. The restaurant is small and has the feel of a corner British pub. Reminds me of visits to my grandfather when he lived in England. The staff is friendly and I have found (from a number of visits) the kitchen is very consistent.

There's a fish & chips place in Alexandria (where I live) called Eammon's. Gets all sorts of rave reviews. But, it's pretty awful. The batter is flavorless and way too thick. The fish itself is to thickly cut. Fries too heavy. Then I ate at Long John Silver's on a recent road trip. That was pretty bad too. I began to think maybe I lost my taste for fish & chips. Then, we made a return visit to Go Fish in Rehoboth. And I remembered: There is such a thing as good fish & chips. Crispy/salty batter, not too heavily applied. Good fish. Just the right amount of fries. Thanks Go Fish for restoring my faith in your signature dish. (Four stars instead of five because it does seem a bit overpriced...but it's the Rehoboth tourist district, so that's probably not surprising.)

Solid bar food, which is what I guess fish and chips are. Fast service, clean restrooms and strong air conditioning, which is important on a beach. The spicy sauce on the clam strips was not spicy... And that came from our uncle who is not a fan of hot foods. Onion rings were passable, but not special in spite of the 'stout beer drizzle'. The portions were large and the fish was hot and well cooked.

I had some rockin' mussels and bread here. I got it to go, so my only complaint was that there wasn't enough garlic white wine broth to dip the freshly baked garlic bread in. Kinda made me wish I would have dined in. Assuming there would have been ample broth to dip with. It was flavored so well, that's the only point that made me sad. Best choice, dine in. Even thought they have a handy to go window. Or better yet, maybe order the fish and chips. You can really mess that up... and I kinda trust it would be good too! Better than the ten Grotto PIzza's around!

I lived in the UK for a while and I can say definitively that the fish and chips here are comparable to anything I had across the pond. My husband got the bangers and mash and sticky toffy pudding, both of which were delicious as well. Plus, this place is reasonably priced for a beach restaurant. Next time I have a fish and chips craving stateside, I know just where to go!

  • Patrick N.

This place has the best fish and chips I have ever had. The service is very fast attentive. The chips are cooked perfectly, as is the fish. I always come here at least twice when I'm in town. Even if my visit is only a few days long. The other menu items sound really good, but I can't seem to come here and not get the fish. I've tried a bite of the fried chicken when my mom got it once. It too, was very good. The batter is the same as for the fish. Always crispy, salted appropriately. They serve Coca-Cola products. Definitely a plus, since it seems every place around here serves Pepsi. The sticky toffee pudding is the perfect end to the meal every single time. All the hype surrounding it is justified.

Went to Go Fish! This past early May weekend with my little kids. I had (what else?) fish and chips with the tandoori mushy peas. The kids had chicken fingers and the grilled cheese quesadilla. It was good stuff all around. It didn't seem overpriced or to die for (as some reviewers make it out to be) to me. It was good, basic food, exactly what I expected. Service was a little formulaic and spotty at times, despite a relatively slow time of year. I'll definitely be back.

Best fish and chips ever: authentically British through and through! The generous portion of fried cod is finished perfectly with a light, crisp batter. And you will never have better chips (french fries) this side of the Atlantic. From the malt vinegar condiment, to the sticky toffe pudding, you can't go wrong with this treat of a restaurant from the UK!

    (5)
  • Craig D.

    * They switched to using Pollack....which is Not as good as Cod:-( And yes I understand the "sustainability" reason for doing so, but don't name a sandwich the "Codfather" if you're NOT going to use Cod???? * Just charge a higher price for those who want to pay extra for cod;-) Like us;-)lol * NOTE: The onion rings were just ok.

    (3)
  • Kay M.

Pretty good all around. Just had the fish and chips with mushy peas. The fish was pollock, not cod which was a disappointment but it was good actually. I don't know what they did to a simple can of Boddingtons but it was delicious!

If you like fish and chips, but you decide not to eat at Go Fish, you're doing yourself a big favor. I'm used to eating fish and chips and Fado, which is really good. Go Fish must not have received the menu on fish and chips. First, the fish was just OK. There was nothing spectacular about it. The batter and the fish were two different entities that just did not seem to fuse well together. Second, the chips (fries) were greasy and soggy. When one orders fish and chips, the chips should be crunchy. I understand the fish is beer battered, but the chips should not look as if they were dipped in beer after being fried. I have no intention on coming back to this spot again.

If you like fish and chips don't skip this place. We stick to the house specialty which is the cod battered fish and chips. The chips are nothing special but the fish rocks, don't forget to ask for malt vinegar. We typically walk up to the window and order there versus dining in. How ever you do it, just do it.

Some of the best fish and chips I've ever had. The tartar sauce was really good, but I also dipped the fish and the fries in the brown sauce, which was delicious. The service was really good and they delivered the food pretty quickly. We were there the week before the Royal Wedding so they had a bunch of Royal Wedding stuff out, which was cute. The sticky toffee pudding was addictive, I'm sort of craving it as I'm writing this, definitely try it!

We stopped here to grab a last meal on our way out of town. Best decision I've made in a long time. Excellent food, nice and immaculate atmosphere, and very friendly and helpful staff. I had the plain old fish and chips. My boyfriend had the Henry VIII platter which consisted of fish, coconut shrimp, and a no-filler crabcake. Everything was delicious! Like standing on the street in Glasgow at 3 am nomming on some salty malt vinegary wrapped in newspapery fish.

It's our first stop in Rehoboth year after year. go fish! has very good fish and chips, similar to what I've had in London (yes, the chips are greasy there, too). The fish is high-quality, beer-battered and comes to you piping hot. Two words: CURRY SAUCE. The pineapple curry sauce is the perfect complement to the fish and chips. You will become addicted, Seriously, they should bottle this stuff and sell it. Just get it. GET IT! After all this, you will be full, but you must go for the sticky toffee pudding. Now, we have a good friend from London and have had the real thing homemade. This is the real deal. The service can be a bit hit-or-miss, but the place is so small that you can easily flag down your server and get help. It is not as kid-friendly as it could be, but that doesn't seem to stop the endless parent parade. This is the original comfort food, big time. Don't miss it.

You know I just wanted this place to be good and I was so excited about the reviews but this place only got a two star from me (it would have been a one star had the waitress not been so understanding....see later in the review). The place itself was hot an stuffy. No AC in the middle of summer. Not very sensible. The meal that I ordered was very boring (chicken curry skewers). I figured a British place would do good curry but I was mistaken. The meal was presented with rice, veg, broccoli and it looked like something I could whip up in 5 minutes at home, not something that you would pay $15 for. The chicken itself hardly had any curry power on there so it was almost like eating straight chicken with nothing to put over the rice. I have to say that I was kicking myself for not ordering the fish and chips as they did look delicious. The real reason I came here was for dessert. Those of you that read my reviews know that I am a big fan of sticky toffee pudding and I have to say that theirs was up to par, however you just get so little of it. Again if you are going to charge a whopping $6 for dessert at least provide more than 2 bites. Its not like the ingredients cost a million dollars. I wonder if the owners of this place realize that world war two is over and there are no more ration books. You know it is rare that I complain to a waitress about how bad a place is but I really let go at my waitress last night. I was just so disappointed. I guess the good thing is she comped me the dessert. Still within one hour of eating here I entered a pizza restaurant as I was still hungry. Only go here to get the fish and chips folks, stay away for everything else

We took a quick trip to Rohoboth Beach for lunch. I bookmarked a slew of possible restaurants at which to enjoy lunch, but after I reached the boardwalk, I saw that most of the really great places were far away from the beachfront. In desperation, we finally settled on Go Fish, hoping that it wouldn't be as touristy as many of the other boardwalk restaurants seemed to be. While fried fish wasn't my first choice when we were within spitting distance from the short, it was nevertheless a pleasant surprise to find perhaps the best fish and chips I've ever eaten, and from a true Brit, to boot. Nothing but the freshest cod, potatoes, and coleslaw. I would definitely prefer some fresh seafood when I'm in the area, but I'll settle for simply a good meal, and Go Fish fits the bill just fine.

My family and I have been eating here every year since we first started going to Rehoboth Beach back in 2002. We've always done a girls trip, with my mom, grandma, and two cousins, and we first stopped in because my grandma is British and wanted to see just how good their fish and chips were (hint: they were obviously good enough to keep us coming back year after year). The Rehoboth boardwalk location is the original restaurant and the one we've always gone to (though, this year, we tried out their new location on Coastal Hwy.) and it's a bit of a hole in the wall kind of a place--not a lot of seats, but the decor is fun and obviously British-themed and the waitstaff has always been pretty nice. Most of the girls in the group always just get fish and chips, but not being a fan of most white fish myself, I always get the shrimp and chips. The batter they use is crispy and light (a beer batter I think) and the chips, when not cooked too hard, are lovely. They have an amazing sticky toffee pudding on the dessert menu that is absolutely delicious and they have a nice selection of British beers to drink. It's a cute little place in a great location with good British food and interesting decor. Even though the boardwalk location is small, I recommend it over the newer location--the new place is set up so that you order at the counter and have your food brought to your table and it just doesn't have the same vibe or atmosphere that the original place has.

I've got nothing negative to say about Go Fish! other that it's prices are at least two times too high. $16.95 for fish and chips, before drink, tax or tip. Remember this isn't seafood, this is fish and chips, ie fast food. Go Fish! is enjoyable, but you can get better meals in Rehoboth for less money.

Fish and Chips - A+ Not too greasy, tasty batter, and nice big piece of fish. Thick cut fries. Even the cole slaw garnish was good (which is unusual sometimes) Coconut Shrimp Appetiser - B Good, but I'm spoiled for fresh gulf shrimp...these weren't the best, but just ok.

I randomly stumbled upon this place while exploring Rehoboth with my boyfriend one Sunday. We were intrigued and hungry and decided to give it a go. Now, I have never been to England but I lived in New Zealand for a summer and ate the best fish and chips I've ever had there. That's what I compare all fish and chips to, and I have yet to find any in the states that can compare. So I didn't even order the fish and chips, but my boyfriend did. I was pleased to find that Go Fish came pretty close! We also ordered sides of tandoori mushy peas and Cheddar mashed potatoes, which were both amazing. I ordered the fish tacos and was a little put off when they came to the table and were not in fact tacos, but a wrap. Regardless, it tasted very good and I cleared my plate. I would highly recommend any of these dishes or sides. The interior of the place is a little kitchy, but I can get past it because of the food. I imagine it would be a fun place to bring kids. The service was very friendly and the prices weren't bad. It's small, so it most likely gets very crowded during tourist season, but the food is probably worth the wait!

It was a wintry day down in Rehoboth. We have been to go fish quite few times. Mom was smart and ordered fried shrimp done in the perfect beer batter and we ordered two orders of the homemade coleslaw. Imagine your grandmothers coleslaw she made for thanksgiving and every holiday meal. Yeah it's that good. Well I was feeling silly, so I ordered fish tacos. Now normally when you order fish tacos, small tortillas san diego style come out. This was a fish burrito. I wound up picking out the fish and eating it. I do not recommend this dish and it's the main reason the stars have come down. I know its a fish and chips place and I shouldn't veer off the menu, but a girl has to try sometimes right? The other reason for the diminished stars. Our waitresses seemed annoyed mom and I were not kicking back with a beer.

Dropped in here on a freakishly warm mid-February Friday afternoon with the family. Got in easily and found a good table. It's not huge inside .(there's also a take-out option out front). I got the fish and chips... very good. Also had the house dessert (toffee pudding), which was also tasty. Service was fine. Our bill, which was for 2 adults and 2 kids plus 1 dessert, exceeded $50 with tip. So it wasn't cheap. But we might go back here on another beach jaunt. Enjoyed it!

Simple menu, delicious fried shrimp and fish/chips and they're open in October! The dinner portion of fish/chips was huge. My boyfriend thought it was delicious and said he'd totally eat here again.

a MUST!!! Even if you don't like fish, this place is fabulous. We came in with kids and an obnoxious stroller. They were all smiles and welcomed us with all our baggage. The fish and chips are equal to the best fish and chips you might find in the UK. The chip shop is so charming!

Best beer batter for fish & chicken and great handcut fries. This gets the best meal of vacation vote from me. I loved it. First time there, I had the fish n' chips...AMAZING! The BF had large coconut shrimp which he loved. The next time we got fish n' chips to go for dinner. The third time we went, we took some relatives and this time I tried the chicken n' chips. Also fantastic. Mind you, we fit 6 full size adults in the little corner booth, tight squeeze and all our knees were brushing against each other but the food & company was worth it in my opinion. We had a couple non-fish eaters in the group but we found plenty on the menu to satisfy everyone. The beer batter is so light and crunchy with just the right amount of flavor. I have been missing the food since we have returned home. I wish we could have brought Go Fish home with us. No one does batter like this around here, at least not that I have found. My BF votes Go Fish as the best handcut fries in Rehoboth, he says even better than Thrashers. he specifically asked me to get fries from Go Fish for dinner one night so I opted for the whole fish n' chips meal since they have a to go dinner special. I say it is a tie between Thrashers and Go Fish! fries. Both are excellent!. This place is great and it isn't just the British accents of certain employees swaying my opinion, it is the delicious food!

We got carry out so take this review with a grain of salt - but it wasn't very good. Bland sides, lackluster Shepherds Pie (there might have been a total of 1 oz of carrot in the whole thing) and it was pretty mushy and texturally unsatisfying. Won't try it again after that experience.

We grabbed a couple of orders of fish and chips, sausage, and a sticky toffee from the takeout window. It was all tasty and a good alternative to the regular beach food.

My fiancee and I try to get here at least once a month, and only for the fish and chips! The atmosphere is charming, and the menu is surprisingly large. Tried the shepherd's pie once, but won't be bothering with that again. The crab dip is pretty tasty, though. Stick with the fish and chips with a New Castle brown ale and you can't go wrong. Gotta admit, I'm a little disappointed there's no HP brown sauce on the table.

A friend had heard good things about Go Fish, so suggested it when we took a day trip to Rehoboth Beach and needed a quick dinner before we headed back to DC. It's not too far up from the boardwalk. And the beer battered fish and chips are really good...not too greasy either. Seemed to used fresh fish and potatoes. I'd also recommend the Sam Smith Organic Cider, although I wished I realized it was 22oz...huge...very drinkable and not too sweet, but a bit too much, filled me up. So no room to try the toffee pudding. Very nice to offer the lunch menu/portions, as well as the dinner menu even though it was after 4pm....the lunch size is a bit smaller (still a huge piece of fish, plenty for me and alot of great hand cut fries), and a bit cheaper. Although I noticed the online menu states the fish used is cod, that was not what was listed on the menu today when we were there (and I can't remember now what fish was used, maybe haddock? , just remember my friend was surprised it was not cod.) It was delicious whichever fish they used. Disappointed they had no outdoor seating...it looked like they may have had some sort of rooftop, but no such luck. And the actual restaurant seating area is pretty small. But we put our name on a list and only really waited a few minutes. Our orders did not take long to come out. And they do offer take out. Our waitress was very very nice and attentive. Alot of other menu items, including alot of seafood, but choices for non-seafood eaters too. And I liked the bathroom mirror, a toilet seat decorated with the Union Jack with a mirror in the middle...very clever. The place was still decked out with William and Kate wedding stuff. My friend claimed the waitress had a copy of the engagement ring on.

Though it is moderately priced at $11 a plate, it is worth the fun British atmosphere and the best fish n' chips in the area. I haven't had good fish n' chips in awhile and then I found this gem stone. First, upon walking into this little corner restaurant along the busy main street walkway, you see a huge fish and British flag to welcome you in. I went with my mom and we were seated immediately. Our waiter was a real Brit. He had the whole "ex-Brit pop rocker" look going complete with authentic British accent and one silver Cross earring. We both ordered the Fish n' Chips. The beer battered cod fell apart as you stuck your fork in it. It was deliciousness the moment it touches your lips. The cool tartar sauce added a whole other succulent layer of satisfaction. The chips were crispy and brown on the outside and fluffy and white on the inside. It was a perfectly made dish and served in under 5 minutes. This place also has a variety of land lover's food as well such as beer battered fried chicken and cheesecake. So for you fish n' chips lovers out there, or really anything beer battered and fried, I would highly recommend this place for a quick sit and eat place.

The atmosphere is eclectic and cute, but unfortunately, the place isn't too vegan friendly. I had asked about the veggie burgers, and they couldn't answer my question because they threw the package away. That is unacceptable. What if I needed to know because of a food allergy? I ordered it anyway, and it was a Morningstar burger, which are not vegan (contain egg).

I ordered the shepherd's pie & it was bland, dry and quite frankly, disgusting! People go out to eat because they want to experience something that they can't replicate at home in thier own kitchen. I know for a fact that i can make better food at home! Everything was way overpriced. The Shepherd's pie was $10.75 & was the size of a small bowl. I'd pay that much if it were from a fancy restaurant and the food was actually good, but for a "fast food" chain, it's ridiculous. My friend ordered the fish & chips and also said it was very bland and very greasy. I will not be going back. The atmosphere was very nice, but quality of food & price were not up to par.

When it comes to fish and chips, they're either perfect or they suck. My first fish and chips experience was in London on a cold foggy night at a small neighborhood bar. It was fantastic. Ever since, I've tried this Brit classic at several places much to my dismay. My family and I walked into this place around 5 pm and it was already PACKED. Now, we just wanted a small snack to fill up our tummies till dinner so my brother and I split a fish and chips platter. It. Was. Awesome. I'm not sure whether I can really explain it but just to keep things simple, the fish was amazing. Incredibly fresh and battered just right (and accompanied with malt vinegar! these guys keep it real). The fries were pretty fantastic..real potatoes are such a refreshing change from fast food fries. The coleslaw was a nice little accompaniment. It was difficult to say "no" to another round! Bottomline: this is a great place for dinner/lunch. Sure it isnt fancy shmancy but the fish is fresh, the fries are good, and beer is served. What more could you want after a day on the beach?

Stopped in here twice this winter and have found the fish and chips to be very tasty. Service was great and the food came out fairly quick. I haven't frequented chip shops in the UK for a comparison (I like Indian food too much), but will give this place a thumbs up and will definitely return.

Ehhhhh......just ok. I'm not an expert on fish n chips, and maybe it was too early in the week before the fresh fish was delivered, but my first experience at Go Fish was disappointing. We went fir lunch on a Tuesday and the place was fairly empty. The food came fast but The fish was a bit off and the chips were too greasy. I got onion rings too and they were just ok as well. The highlight of lunch was the sticky toffee pudding which was light and flavorful. I guess for very fast boardwalk eats it beats some of the alternatives on Rehoboth Ave. I'll give it another try and hope for better results. Maybe later in the week the product will be better.

Review for lunch only (lunch menu is separate from dinner menu and differently priced). best thing on the menu is the fish and chips. 1 long beer-battered slice of cod with fries and tartar sauce. other good thing was the fried oysters, yumm! also had seafood shepherd's pie (dont get that), and dont get the soups. service was a so-so, we came in from the rain and stood there for a little while even though there were several empty table - the hostess seemed very confused. since we were wet and continued to stand there waiting it was very annoying. cute kitschy sort of place that plays beatles and hands up british knick knacks. you don't get a lot of bang for your buck though...the LUNCH prices were aleady $10.99 for one piece of fish and fries. sorry, brits, it was tasty and cute but not my cup of tea. your service dont get any slack either for being a "laid back" beach restaurant.

I ate here with my boyfriend for lunch on 5/30/11. He ordered the fish and chips and I got the steak sandwich. Both were delish!! I just wish they gave him 1 more piece of fish, instead of 2. I also got the curry sauce to dip my fries in. It was one of the best curry sauces I have ever had! I got the sticky toffee pudding dessert and it was amazing!!! I almost wanted to order seconds! Haha! The decor is really cute too. You should definitely try this place! I cant wait to go back when I visit :)
